BIB systém

BIB system consists of a small expandable balloon, placing tube and a filling system. After the entry internal examination and a prevention examination of the throat and stomach the BIB is inserted by a physician through the mouth and throat into the stomach. Swallowing is eased up by anaestheticum which is applied on surface in order to freeze the throat area. The BIB is inserted in the smallest, drained state and after implementing into the stomach it is immediately filled up by a sterile physiological solution. The filled balloon is too large to continue into the intestines and it freely floats inside the stomach. The implementation time is various, usually 20-30 minutes. After that you are monitored by the physician for a while before returning home.

The procedure is not accompanied by any unpleasant feelings. It is done in light anaesthesia, ambulatory without hospitalization. The balloon is left in the stomach for a period  6 months and it is removed in the same way as it was inserted. During the entire cure the patient does not languish and at the same time reduces the amount of food intake.
