Laser surgery of tonsils is very popular for its speed and safety. Complete removal of tonsils at both children and adults is nowadays done only exceptionally. On the contrary the laser resection of bloated tonsils - Tonsilotomy is more and more recommended procedure.

The operation removes part of the tissue of the bloated tonsils. That way the source of often chronic infection in the throat is removed. At the same time a perfectly functional rest of the tissue stays in place which works as an important filter and immunity barrier. The operation is done in local injectory anaesthesia, ambulatory and without any major post-surgery problems.
