Warts

Wart is a disease of virus origin. They usually accompany other illnesses of for example the immune system (atopic eczema, for example). Both children and adults suffer from warts.

Warts mostly appear on fingers, palms, on feet but they can appear on face, too. They look like little bumps of different size, the colour is alike with the surrounding skin and the surface is rough. Warts are very often an uncomfortable, painful and sometimes a long-term problem for patients. Classical treatments are often not sufficient - e.g. CO2, removing warts by a surgical spoon etc. and therefore the effect of the treatment is not always 100 %.

Warts are treated in a dermatology department at our clinic. We use special laser Vasculight which can specifically be targeted th the warts.  After the treatment, warts dry out by themselvfall off after a few weeks. Some, especially small warts located on hands are remowed by the CO2 surgical laser. This is done in local anaesthesia.

For the removal of larger clusters and concentration of warts we use the N-Lite laser. This disables the nourishment of these warts by eliminating their vascular provision supplementation and therefore they gradually peel off and disappear.
