Scars
Scars are an unpleasant consequence of many diseases or injuries. If they are on visible spots on the body they become an esthetic handicap for the patient.
Scars can be treated by a range of methods and procedures and therefore it is necessary to evaluate the scars with myna different criteria such as the type of the scar, its age, the spot where the scar appears on the body and also the type of complexion etc.
In LLC we treat scars in both surgical and non-surgical ways.
Surgical scar modification methods
We are able to smooth out scars in the face area either from acne, pox or an injury by using the most modern surgical laser Derma K. The surgical laser grinds out the surface of the skin - smoothens it and the laser's heat causes the contraction of the skin in given location. This smoothens the scar or wrinkle. After the procedure the skin heals just as after shallow scratch with the formation of scab within about four days. In next 7-10 days the skin is healed but strongly pinkish. During that period, oily lotions are applied. After only two weeks it is possible to use regular cosmetics and make-up. For 1-2 months following the surgery it is necessary to protect the regenerated scar against the sun and other bad effects by using creams with a special protection factor and make-up. Treatment is performed under local anaesthesia or when larger area (e.g. whole face) is treated, under complete anaesthesia with several-day hospitalization.
Non-surgical scar modification methods
Especially firm and embowed, the so-called keloid scars are smoothened by the Vasculight laser or the N-Lite method. By using the Vasculight, the scar gradually becomes lighter, softer and flatter. After the treatment , however, the scar is temporarily more red or with scab for several days. In order to reach a successful result it is necessary to repeat the procedure a few times. When using the N-Lite method, the laser beam causes the skin to create its own collagen. Due to this, the skin's surface regenerates and smoothes out. The minor blood capillaries, which give the scars the reddish color, happen to disappear.
Price list:
When smoothing scars by surgical laser the supplement by patient is CZK 350 per cm2 according to the size of the treated area. Prices for laser grinding of larger areas are as follows: the entire face CZK 42 000, for 2/3 of a face (both cheeks and the chin) CZK 28 000, 1/3 of the face (forehead and both cheeks or chin and the upper lip) CZK 14 000. Hospitalization (if necessary) is charged by CZK 2 100 per day. When using the Vasculight laser the price is set, based on the number of pulses. One pulse treats approximately 2 to 3 cm2 of a scar. The charge for one pulse is CZK 140 although the minimum charge is CZK 700. The price of N-Lite treatment depends on the size of the area but it is usually between CZK 1400 and CZK 2800 per treatment.
